Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Critical Care Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a critical care setting License: Valid RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - 2 years minimum experience in critical care - Previous charge experience preferred - Experience with patient ratios of 2:1 Description: Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a critical care unit. Nights are required, with shifts from 18:45 to 07:15. This position welcomes first-time travelers. The unit consists of a mix of cardiac surgical and cardiac medical patients. There may be a need to float to similar units as required by facility needs. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for various critical care skills. These include arterial line management, blood product administration, and care of ventilated patients. Experience with Central line care and management is essential. Nursing experience should include chronic and acute renal failure management. Candidates must possess proficiency in titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips. Additional responsibilities include interpreting dysrhythmias and managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction. A team-oriented approach is essential, as interdisciplinary support is available. This role requires a commitment to managing complex patient care effectively. Candidates should be adaptable and prepared for a fast-paced environment. Every other weekend availability is expected. Travelers will receive a brief orientation upon arrival.
