Mechanical Engineer III

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Computer Aided Design (CAD), preferably with SolidWorks experience. The role involves preparing formal engineering drawings under the guidance of a senior engineer. Drawings will be created from on-hand parts, photographs, engineering sketches, and working prototype parts and assemblies, using a standard client drawing template.

Responsibilities

• Provide specific direction to drafters and review their work.
• Create detailed engineering drawings for mechanical parts, electrical cables and connectors, and outline-and-installation drawings for electrical circuit card assemblies.
• Dictate drawing requirements to drafters and ensure adherence to Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in CAD (required); SolidWorks experience preferred.
• Familiarity with mechanical, electric, electronic, and electro-mechanical parts and assemblies.
• Knowledge of GD&T principles.
• US Citizenship is required; security clearance is preferred but not mandatory.
