RN - Emergency Room (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Nights | Onsite | Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM), every other weekend, every other holiday

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and provide total patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs
• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care in a fast-paced ER environment during night shift hours
• Direct and guide patient teaching to promote health education and recovery
• Supervise and coordinate activities of ancillary personnel to ensure safe and effective care delivery
• Maintain standards of professional nursing practice in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Iowa Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior emergency room nursing experience is preferred, though new graduates will be considered
• Familiarity with Iowa Mandatory Reporter requirements for Child Abuse and Dependent Adult Abuse
