We are seeking an ASL interpreter to join our team for the 26-27 school year in the Summerville, SC area! In this role, you will engage with students and passionate teammates in a school district setting.

• Role: Full time
• Pay: $35-$44/hour
• Start ASAP

Responsibilities:

• Provide professional interpretation to a kindergarten student in school building
• Participate in meetings with colleagues and family members related to the student's education
• Work collaboratively with professionals in many other disciplines

Requirements:

1. High school diploma is required
2. Must provide proof of the completion of a minimum of 60 college credit hours, OR in lieu of this, must pass the Para Professional Exam or the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) test
3. National certification or Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) score of 3.5 and successful completion of the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment: Written Assessment
4. Submitted a sworn statement confirming they have read, understand, and agree to abide by the EIPA Code of Professional Conduct for Educational Interpreters; and
5. Registered with the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (LLR).
6. Fluency in English and American Sign Language (ASL)

Adherence to the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf and the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment Codes of Professional Conduct
