The CUSI Driver supports the Inventory Supervisor in managing the FairLease vehicle inventory and serves as a customer-facing representative during vehicle deliveries to lessees. The role moves vehicles on and off the premises, supports reconditioning and inspection of returned and pre-delivery units, coordinates transport, and handles document pickups and drop-offs with dealers and the tax office. The CUSI Driver presents a professional, pleasant member experience at every delivery and uses CUTX-approved tools, including AI-assisted productivity and scheduling tools, to keep inventory accurate and delivery commitments on time. Key Responsibilities Vehicle Inventory & Reconditioning Support Assist the Inventory Supervisor with reconditioning vehicles for release to lessees or for sale. Complete the vehicle check-in sheet on lease returns, verifying required reconditioning against the inspection report. Continuously inspect inventory to ensure all vehicles are in good running condition and ready to deliver when requested. Maintain current vehicle license plates and inspection stickers on inventory units. Maintain the FairLease inventory area so that the property is clean, organized, and neat. Vehicle Movement & Transport Move vehicles on and off the premises as needed to support inventory flow, reconditioning, and delivery readiness. Facilitate the transport of vehicles to and from the FairLease facility, including coordination with third-party transport vendors when used. Operate vehicles safely and lawfully at all times, in accordance with Texas traffic law and CUTX/CUSI vehicle-handling procedures. Lessee Delivery & Member Experience Assist Lease Consultants with the delivery of leased vehicles to lessees, presenting a professional and pleasant experience as the customer-facing representative of CUSI / FairLease. Verify vehicle condition and delivery documentation with the lessee at the point of delivery. Communicate clearly with lessees about delivery timing, vehicle features at handoff, and next steps; route any servicing or account questions to the appropriate Lease Consultant. Drop off and pick up required documents to and from the tax office as needed. Pick up lease documents from dealers as needed and deliver them intact to the appropriate CUSI team member. Maintain chain-of-custody discipline on all documents transported, particularly any containing member non-public personal information (NPI). Service Performance & Teamwork Meet or exceed established service goals for delivery timeliness, vehicle readiness, and member satisfaction. Work effectively as part of the CUSI / FairLease team, supporting Lease Consultants, Inventory, and Operations as priorities shift through the day. Use CUTX-approved tools, including any AI-assisted scheduling or routing aids, to plan the day and communicate status updates to the Inventory Supervisor. Risk, Safety & Compliance Maintain a valid Texas driver's license and a clean driving record at all times; report any change in driving status immediately to the Inventory Supervisor. Follow all CUSI safety, key-control, and vehicle-handling procedures. Identify and elevate any damage, mechanical issue, missing key, missing document, or potential title/registration issue immediately upon discovery. Performance Outcomes & KPIs Outcome Primary KPI Target / Direction Leased vehicles are delivered to lessees on time and in expected condition. On-Time Delivery Rate — percent of scheduled lessee deliveries completed within the scheduled window. Monthly Inventory is delivery-ready, with valid plates, stickers, and reconditioning complete. Inventory Readiness Rate — percent of inventory passing readiness check (registration, inspection, reconditioning) at the start of each week. Lessee delivery experience reflects CUTX / CUSI service standards. Delivery Experience Feedback — percent of delivery feedback rated satisfactory or better (where collected). Monthly Document pickups and drop-offs (dealer, tax office) are completed accurately and without loss. Document Handling Exceptions — number of lost, late, or mishandled document events per quarter. Driving record and safety posture remain in good standing. Preventable Incident Rate — number of preventable driving incidents or vehicle-damage events per year. Annual AI-assisted scheduling, routing, or document tools are reviewed by the role holder before action. Human-in-the-Loop Review Rate on AI Outputs — percent of AI-generated route, schedule, or summary outputs reviewed and either accepted, adjusted, or escalated by the Driver before use. Monthly Qualifications Education High School diploma or G.E.D. and/or equivalent work experience. Experience Minimum one to two (1–2) years of experience in the automotive or auto-finance industry (leasing, dealership, rental, fleet, or comparable). Prior experience with vehicle inventory handling, reconditioning support, or customer-facing vehicle delivery preferred. Prior credit union or bank operations experience preferred. Licenses, Registrations, and Certifications Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record (required). Must remain insurable under CUTX / CUSI's vehicle and driver coverage. Knowledge & Skills Working knowledge of the auto leasing industry and standard vehicle reconditioning expectations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office / Windows software (Outlook, basic Word/Excel) and the ability to operate a computer, printer, copier, and standard office equipment. Strong verbal communication skills and a professional, pleasant demeanor in front of lessees and dealer partners. AI & Technology Expectations AI-Augmented Workflows The following workflows are AI-augmented in this role. The CUSI Driver is expected to work fluently within these workflows, exercise sound judgment over AI outputs, and follow all applicable controls. AI-assisted route and delivery scheduling — AI suggests delivery sequencing and routing based on appointment times, locations, and inventory readiness. AI-assisted productivity tasks — drafting routine internal messages, summarizing daily delivery schedules, and surfacing reminders. AI-assisted document triage — extracting structured fields (VIN, plate number, dealer, document type) from photos or scans of dealer or tax-office paperwork to populate CUSI systems. AI Tier and Human-in-the-Loop Responsibility This role operates in AI Tier 2 for its principal AI-augmented workflows (see Appendix A). The CUSI Driver retains accountability for any decision, communication, or member/employee-impacting action influenced by AI output, consistent with the CUTX Generative AI Usage Policy §3.4. The CUSI Driver is required to: Review every AI-suggested delivery route or schedule before executing the day's plan; adjust for real-world conditions and member preferences. Review any AI-drafted internal or lessee-facing communication for accuracy, tone, and completeness before sending. Spot-check AI-extracted document fields (VIN, plate, dealer) against the source document before saving to CUSI systems. Stop reliance on AI output and elevate to the Inventory Supervisor immediately if the output appears inaccurate, unsafe, non-compliant, or outside the role's documented scope (Generative AI Usage Policy §3.5). Refrain from entering member NPI or confidential CUTX information into any AI tool not explicitly approved for that data classification. Complete all required AI training within thirty (30) days of hire and maintain currency on annual refreshers. Approved AI Tools The role is approved to use the following AI tools in performing essential functions (subject to the Generative AI Usage Policy and any tool-specific guidance issued by the AI Council): CUTX-approved internal AI assistants (e.g., Sam) for general productivity and approved knowledge tasks. Microsoft Copilot for office productivity (drafting, summarization, basic spreadsheet support). CUTX-approved scheduling, mapping, or document-capture tools deployed within CUSI systems. Use of AI tools outside this list requires prior approval from the role's department leader and the AI Council, per the Generative AI Usage Policy §4. Prohibited AI Use In addition to the prohibited uses defined in the Generative AI Usage Policy §3.6, the following are specifically prohibited in this role: Using AI output as the sole basis for any action that affects a lessee's account (e.g., changing a delivery commitment, recording vehicle condition, or noting a missing document) without independent verification. Entering member NPI (full account numbers, Social Security numbers, full lease documents) into any AI tool not explicitly approved for that data classification. Using consumer AI tools to draft or alter lessee-facing legal or contractual documents; these must come from approved CUSI templates and processes. Using AI tools while operating a vehicle in a manner that distracts from safe driving. Compliance & Regulatory Responsibilities Enterprise Compliance Obligations The CUSI Driver is responsible for all enterprise compliance obligations applicable to a CUTX team member, including BSA/AML, OFAC, USA PATRIOT Act/CIP/CDD, GLBA and the Safeguards Rule, Fair Lending laws (ECOA/Reg B, Fair Housing Act), UDAAP, Information Security and Acceptable Use, and the CUTX Code of Conduct. AI-Specific Compliance Obligations The CUSI Driver is responsible for the CUTX Generative AI Usage Policy (TRAIGA / HB 149-aligned), the CUTX AI Playbook (including Tier 2 obligations applicable to this role), and Texas Responsible Artificial Intelligence Governance Act (TRAIGA / HB 149) requirements applicable to the role. Role-Specific Compliance Obligations Texas Transportation Code and Texas traffic law applicable to the safe operation of motor vehicles. Texas vehicle registration and inspection requirements applicable to inventory units. Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) and the Safeguards Rule as applied to the handling of physical documents containing member NPI in transit between dealers, the tax office, and CUSI. CUSI / FairLease key-control, vehicle-handling, and delivery procedures. CUTX Code of Conduct and Acceptable Use standards while representing CUSI / CUTX in the field. Working Conditions & Physical Requirements This role is performed primarily on-site at the CUSI / FairLease facility and in the field across the Dallas–Fort Worth metropolitan area, including dealer locations, tax offices, lessee delivery addresses, and transport partners. The work environment includes both an office/inventory setting and outdoor vehicle lots, with exposure to typical Texas weather conditions. The role is active and fast-paced; the incumbent is on his/her feet for much of the day. Essential physical activities include the ability to operate a motor vehicle safely for extended periods; enter and exit vehicles repeatedly; walk vehicle storage lots and inspect vehicle condition; remain stationary at a workstation as needed to complete documentation; use hands and fingers to handle keys, documents, and standard office equipment; communicate clearly by phone, email, and in person with lessees, dealers, and internal partners; and occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds. Average hearing and visual acuity are required to operate vehicles safely and inspect documents and units.
