Job Opportunity

Position: PACU RN

Shift Details

This position is a Day Shift, working 4x10-hour shifts from 07:30 AM to 05:00 PM. Start times may vary between 05:30 AM and 07:30 AM. Candidates must be available for weekend shifts and on-call duty.

Schedule Requirements

• 2 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule.
• 2-3 on-call shifts required during the same period.

Qualifications

• Pediatric PACU experience is required, along with a strong understanding of inpatient and outpatient care guidelines.
• Must have experience working in both Pre-Operative and PACU settings.
• At least 2 years of nursing experience is necessary.
• Must hold current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS.
• Prior experience with tracheostomy care and phlebotomy is preferred.

Floating and Staffing Requirements

• Floating required between Pre-Op and PACU departments.

Patient Care Details

• Patient age groups: Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, and Adults.
• Daily census: Approximately 70 patients.
• Facility capabilities include various surgical services except for open hearts, NICU, and transplants.
• Experience working with high-volume cases, with 80+ patients daily during peak times required.

Documentation System

• Experience with Cerner documentation system is preferred.

Orientation and Training

New hires may be required to complete up to 16 hours of modules during orientation. Module completion is necessary for compliance and training.
