Position Overview: As a Chemist I, you will play a critical role in driving product quality, innovation, and regulatory compliance. In this hands-on role, you will conduct chemical analyses and laboratory testing that support Quality Control, Technical Service, and Research & Development initiatives. Your work will help ensure our products meet the highest performance and environmental standards while contributing to continuous improvement and the development of innovative solutions that support our customers and business growth. Responsibilities:

1. Perform all laboratory and manufacturing related tasks in a safe and environmentally compliant manner.
2. Conduct laboratory testing to monitor product quality to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
3. Compile and interpret results of tests and analyses and document reports accordingly and stored in SharePoint.
4. Perform laboratory testing related to technical service projects assigned by Director of Research & Development.
5. Collaborate closely with the Manufacturing team to support production activities by:

a. Scheduling quality testing to ensure production timelines are met and operations proceed efficiently. b. Identifying and evaluating non-conforming products using analytical testing techniques under the guidance of senior laboratory personnel. 6. Collaborate with Senior Chemists for bench-scale formulation, developmental testing, and technical projects. 7. Set up and conduct chemical experiments, tests, and analyses using techniques such as chromatography, spectroscopy, physical and chemical analysis techniques, and microscopy. 8. Conduct standardized testing to qualitative and quantitative testing to ensure materials meet MicroCare specifications. 9. Ensure laboratory adherence to ISO 9001 and similar quality procedures and work instructions. 10. Utilize Good Documentation Practices (GDP) including but not limited to results, observations, and technical reports. 12. Maintain safe and clean laboratory, instruments and equipment per OSHA, EPA and internal standards. 13. Promote an incident free workplace by complying with safety policies and procedures and participate in company safety trainings. 14. Other duties as assigned. Competencies/Experience: Knowledge of basic laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Previous laboratory experience in working with GC and Karl Fischer Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as contribute to a team environment Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records and logs Ability to manage time effectively across multiple tasks Strong written and verbal communication skills Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Chemistry 0-1 year of hands-on work experience with lab procedures, equipment and various chemical materials Understanding of general laboratory etiquette, documentation, excellent troubleshooting abilities and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Organized and detail oriented Preferred Qualifications: Ability to calibrate and perform preventative maintenance on laboratory instruments after instruction Experience in industrial chemical manufacturing Experience generating or supporting Certificates of Analysis (COA) and other collateral Prior experience with ISO 9001 quality standards or similar Bi-lingual Spanish MicroCare
