MS/Telemetry Registered Nurse

The MS/Telemetry Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care; maintains clinical competencies through continuing education; delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available; provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Schedule

This position involves a night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, working 3 consecutive 12-hour shifts. Additionally, there will be an expectation to work 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care by utilizing the Nursing Process.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and scientific judgment in delivering nursing care.
• Supervise and direct assigned personnel involved in patient care.
• Maintain clinical competencies and participate in ongoing education.
• Float between departments and various facilities as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid Arizona RN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in MS/Telemetry.
• Experience with Cerner EMR is mandatory.
