Job Description
Craters & Freighters ( the nation's leader in crating, packaging and shipping is looking for a crate builder. Basic woodworking skills are a must. We provide the training to assist in building crates and pallets. If you have experience driving a 26' (non-CDL) box truck your pay will increase.
Typical Day: Most of your day will be in our shop building crates, pallets and packing industrial machinery, computer & medical equipment, art work and so much more. This is a physical job requiring the ability to lift 35-50 lbs. If you have driving experience, you will not be driving all day. Your pickups and deliveries will take about 2-4 hours throughout the day, sometimes more-sometimes less.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Basic woodworking skills
- Reliable
- Self-motivated and positive attitude
- Solid basic math skills
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
- Competent in spoken and written English
- If you have box truck driving experience and want to drive you will need a DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate
