Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) specializing in Pediatric (PEDS) care for a position based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This role involves providing advanced respiratory care to patients across various hospital units, with responsibilities including equipment management and patient support for all age groups, primarily focusing on neonates and pediatric patients. The position requires a high level of skill, flexibility to float across units, and participation in holiday coverage.

Job Details:

• Position: Respiratory Therapist Registered (PEDS)

• Location: 1026 A Avenue NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402, United States

• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week

• Start Date: 07/20/2026

• Required Qualifications:

  • 24 months of current RRT/Respiratory therapy experience in a hospital setting
  • 36 months of employment history demonstrating respiratory therapy experience
  • EPIC electronic medical record experience
  • Iowa Respiratory License (highly preferred but may accept licensing candidates with a quick turnaround)
  • Active certifications including BLS, NRP, NBRC, ACLS (AHA), and PALS (AHA)
  • Ability and willingness to float across hospital units
  • NICU experience within the last 18 months and Level III NICU experience within the last 15 months
  • Equipment experience with jet ventilator, Drager ventilator, and oscillator ventilator
  • Experience with neonatal and pediatric resuscitation certificates (NRP, PALS) required
  • Valid drivers license

• Preferred Qualifications:

  • Highly experienced in NICU settings, including Level III NICU within the last 15 months

• Additional Information:

  • Holiday coverage required for Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day unless the unit is closed
  • Orientation dates scheduled for 07/20, 07/27, and 08/03
  • Call back and overtime policies in effect, with OT billable after 40 or 48 hours per week, depending on schedule
