Whether you will spend your day brainstorming in an office cubicle, operating a crane, running manufacturing equipment or troubleshooting technical obstacles, at CMC, you'll get the training and support from your team that you need to excel in your role and reach your full potential.What You'll Do:Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed and/or shippedOperate a forklift to move material and supplies as requiredSort and place materials and items on racks, shelves or bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product codeAssemble customer orders from stock and place orders in appropriate shipping/holding areaInspect outgoing material for accuracyAssist in performing inventory on materialAssist in filling work/shipping ordersAssist in unloading and loading of material for customersPerform a wide range of physical activities which include pulling, pushing, reaching, bending over, climbing, and kneelingMaintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly conditionRecord amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer programOther duties as assigned in general support of the organizationWhat You'll Need:1+ year(s) forklift / loader experienceMinimum 1 year experience in construction and or manufacturing environmentAbility to operate a forkliftAbility to communicate with customers, employees, and business leadersCustomer-service oriented, with great attention to detail while still meeting tight deadlines, great organizational skills, and the ability to easily multi-taskProficient level of computer skills; MS Word, Excel, Outlook and InternetAbility to work in uncontrolled climate environment and in the elementsAbility to operate hand toolsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsMust be able to stand for long periods of timeYour Education: We are CMC, a Fortune 500® company at the leading edge of our industry.
