Position Description ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR (CLINICAL X SERIES) - PEDIATRIC UROLOGIST The Department of Urologic Surgery at University of California, Davis, School of Medicine, is recruiting for a full-time faculty member in the Professor of Clinical X series at the Assistant/Associate rank in pediatric urology. Faculty in the Clinical X series are expected to engage in professional competence and activity, teaching, research and creative work, and university/public service. Successful candidate will have strong clinical and surgical skills in pediatric urology and preferably desire to treat patients with complex disorders. Duties involve multi-disciplinary clinics addressing conditions such as Disorders of Sexual Development (DSD), Spina Bifida, Bladder Exstrophy, and Cloacal Anomalies. In addition to patient care, the position will include clinical research, teaching, and service activities. Teaching responsibilities include supervising medical students, residents, fellows, PA/NP students. Participation in professional societies and educational organizations is expected, as well as service to department and school committees to fulfill university and public service and scholarly and creative activity achievements. The incumbent must foster collegiality and work collaboratively in a diverse environment that fosters team science and multi-disciplinary patient care, adhere to university policies and procedures and be sensitive to the needs of patients from diverse backgrounds. This recruitment is at the assistant/associate rank. The resulting hire will be at the assistant/associate rank regardless of the candidate's qualifications. Qualifications Basic Qualifications M.D., M.D./Ph.D., D.O. or equivalent degree Completion of ACGME accredited pediatric urology fellowship Board certification/eligibility in Urology and Pediatric Urology Eligible for full and unrestricted medical licensure in the State of California Strong clinical and surgical skills in pediatric urology Evidence of teaching experience in a diverse environment Demonstrated evidence of professional and/or scholarly achievement and activity Evidence of publications of scholarly work in medical literature Legally authorized to work in the United States.
