Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Katy, TX

Pay Rate: Starting at $50.00/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Dean's Professional Services is seeking a compassionate and experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join a leading healthcare system in Katy, TX. This role is ideal for a dedicated nursing professional who thrives in a fast-paced emergency care environment and is committed to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care. The Emergency Department RN will collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to assess, treat, and educate patients while ensuring the highest standards of clinical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver timely, high-quality emergency patient care

• Perform patient assessments, monitor patient conditions, and respond promptly to changes in clinical status

• Administer medications, treatments, and intravenous therapies in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards

• Assist with emergency procedures, diagnostic testing, and patient stabilization

• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions

• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records and nursing documentation

• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, infection prevention protocols, and regulatory requirements

• Provide compassionate care while promoting a positive patient and family experience

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and collaborate to enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program required

• Current Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license required

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience preferred

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred or required based on department needs

• Strong emergency assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills

• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills

• Experience with EPIC or other electronic medical record systems preferred
