EEG TechRespiratory/Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: EEG Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active state license required at the time of submission Certifications: Basic Life Support Must-Have: - Seizure studies experience - Ambulatory EEG experience - Experience in Emergency Room and Adult ICU work settings - Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs - Rotating weekends availability Description: The position is for an EEG Tech with a minimum of 2 years of experience. First-time travelers are accepted. The patient volume is approximately 5-6 per day. On-call responsibilities are required. Weekend coverage is on a rotating basis. There is a requirement for flu vaccination from October 31 to March 31, with medical or religious exemptions allowed. Two supervisory references from the past year must be included with the submission. Experience in Ambulatory OR, Community hospital, and General OR is required. Candidates should have expertise in Adult ICU, emergency department, and long-term monitoring. Essential skills include electrode placement, seizure studies, sleep-deprived EEG, and visual evoked potentials. Candidates must have the ability to provide portable recording and manage motor evoked potentials. The unit consists of three rooms and focuses on adult and geriatric patient age groups. Daily census and patient volume/load indicate approximately 5-6 EEGs performed per day. Experience using Natus XL Tek equipment is preferred.
