Help make afterschool the part of the day kids look forward to.

Gainesville Empowerment Zone Family Learning Center is looking for an energetic, creative, and dependable Adventure Club Leader to guide our school-age program each afternoon, on no-school days and during breaks.

We're looking for someone who can connect with kids, bring ideas to the table, and create a good balance of fun, structure, and meaningful activities . Think games, outdoor play, creative projects, challenges, enrichment, homework support and plenty of opportunities for kids to simply enjoy being together after a long school day.

What You'll Do

• Lead engaging games, projects, enrichment activities, and outdoor play
• Bring creativity and energy to weekly Adventure Club themes
• Encourage teamwork, positive friendships, and problem-solving
• Provide homework support and quieter activities when needed
• Maintain clear expectations and a safe, well-managed environment
• Build positive relationships with children and families
• Work collaboratively with the GEZFLC team

Experience

Experience working with school-age children is preferred and may come from summer camps, recreation programs, coaching, tutoring, mentoring, schools, childcare, or other youth programs.

College students studying Education, Family/Youth Sciences, Psychology, Recreation, Social Work, or related fields are encouraged to apply.

Florida childcare training and CPR/First Aid are a plus; required training may be completed as applicable to the position.
