Direct Counsel is seeking a Private Companies Associate Attorney to join a highly regarded corporate practice.
Location: Palo Alto
About the Role
We are partnering with a premier global firm to identify a senior corporate associate attorney with 6–7 years of experience advising private and public companies. The role centers on sophisticated corporate work for high-growth businesses, including formation, venture financings, M&A, and general corporate matters .
Key Responsibilities
Advise emerging and high-growth companies on corporate governance and strategic legal issues.
Lead and support company formations, venture capital financings, and M&A transactions.
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of corporate agreements.
Collaborate with partners, associates, and cross-practice teams on complex corporate matters.
Manage multiple matters and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited, nationally recognized law school.
6–7 years of general corporate experience with private and public companies.
Prior experience at a national or international law firm.
Strong judgment, analytical skills, drafting ability, and attention to detail.
Compensation
The expected salary range is $390,000–$420,000 , depending on experience. A comprehensive benefits package is included.
