Transform Lives Through Communication in Nashville – Become Our Next Speech Language Pathologist
Imagine a career where your expertise empowers individuals to communicate effectively and regain their confidence. As a Speech Language Pathologist in the lively and rich musical town of Nashville, your work will transcend addressing communication and swallowing disorders. Here, you will be an agent of transformation, helping toddlers express themselves for the first time and assisting seniors in reclaiming their autonomy.
This position is a remarkable chance to work with diverse populations throughout their life journeys in a versatile environment offering outpatient therapy complemented by occasional inpatient care. Whether your passion lies in children's speech development, adult neurogenic disorders, or rehabilitation for geriatric cognitive challenges, this role provides the fulfillment and daily variety you seek.
Assess patients spanning pediatric, adult, and elderly groups using standardized tools and observations.
Create individual treatment plans addressing both short-term and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
Deliver specialized speech therapy services targeting communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
Collaborate seamlessly with physical therapists, occupational therapists, medical professionals, caregivers, and families to foster a unified care approach.
Provide educational support to patients and families, aiding in progress beyond therapy sessions.
Conduct inpatient evaluations and therapies as needed, ensuring an uninterrupted continuum of care.
Keep accurate and timely records adhering to state, federal, and organizational standards.
Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with advancements in speech-language pathology.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already certified by ASHA.
Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within the first month of employment is required.
Expertise in evidence-based practices accommodating all ages, with a solid grasp of developmental and acquired disorders of speech, language, and swallowing.
Exceptional interpersonal communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Ability to tailor therapy modalities to navigate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving capabilities.
Comfort in using electronic medical records and adhering to documentation protocols.
Competitive salary based on experience.
Flexible scheduling options for optimal work-life integration and diverse caseloads.
Opportunities to specialize in areas such as pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatric care.
Paid time off (PTO) and holiday remuneration.
Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options.
Support for continuing education and professional development.
A collaborative environment prioritizing quality care and continuous growth.
In this position, you won't merely deliver speech therapy; you will immerse yourself in a compassionate mission aimed at restoring voices, enhancing communication, and creating joyful moments through the simple yet profound acts of understanding and connection.
You'll work alongside a team that treats each other like family in an environment rooted in cooperation rather than rivalry. Each patient has a unique narrative; we trust you to help shape it beautifully.
