Financial Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY Upholds FCB’s mission, by analyzing financial status through the collection, monitoring, and studying of data. This position requires a thorough knowledge of standard accounting systems, generally accepted accounting principles, and financial analysis. ACCOUNTABILITIES Financial Analysis & Performance Reporting (45%) Identifies financial trends and performance by comparing actual results to plans and forecasts, and prepares and reconciles reports across multiple categories for distribution to management at all levels. Participates in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation for management, outside auditors, and regulators. Accounts Payable (45%) Processes and maintains the accounts payable invoice system for paying invoices by verifying transaction information, scheduling and preparing disbursements, and obtaining authorization of payment. Maintains a database of vendors including payment information and generates 1099s for vendors. Coordinate the collection and organization of vendor due diligence documentation, including financial statements and SOC reports, and assist in review to support accounting and compliance requirements. Processes and maintains the prepaid and auto entry system of accounting. Other (10%) Performs backup to FCB’s daily cash position and daily reconciliations. Performs special projects as assigned. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Maintains customer confidence and protects bank operations by keeping information confidential. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related goals, as needed. Participates in civic and community activities to generate visibility and contact for the bank. Attends mandatory compliance and security sessions. Monitors daily work for adherence to compliance and security regulations, policies/procedures, and promptly corrects any deficiencies. QUALIFICATIONS Environmental Conditions Work is performed primarily indoors in an office setting. Remote work may be available upon supervisor approval. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred. CPA designation preferred. Two years accounting or banking experience preferred. Ability to learn new computer software programs necessary. Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills required. Knowledge of and ability to cross-sell FCB products and services to customers—such as the ability to identify customers’ needs, communicate services, explain advantages, and close sales activity. Skill in working with the public, presenting a professional image of the bank, and servicing prospective and current customer inquiries, requests, and complaints.
