Maintenance Mechanic - 3rd Shift

Production Equipment Maintenance TechnicianTo repair and maintain production equipment and machinery in a safe and efficient manner.Primary Duties And Responsibilities:Trouble shoot and repair equipment to optimize efficiency, down time, quality and safetyRepair, replace and adjust electrical or mechanical parts in the machines and equipmentPerform preventative maintenance on injection molding machines and equipmentOverhaul machines when deemed necessaryRespond to maintenance issues from tenders, packers, quality assurance and plant supervisionTrain, instruct and mentor new hires or lower skilled maintenance staffCommunicate issues encountered with management and maintenance staffRecord maintenance activities in IQMS database. Records must be accurate, detailed and timelyServe as a Lead when the plant works on weekends, understanding emergency procedures, and emergency contact information.Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The individual must be a self starter (ability to work independently) and have proficient use of hand tools. Must be mechanically inclined and possess basic understanding of plant electrical and control circuits. Advanced trouble shooting skills are required. The ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English, as well as speak English fluently, is a requirement. Basic computer skills are required.Physical Demands:Be able to work with hot parts or equipmentMust be able to work in a dusty area while wearing proper safety gearMust be able to work with oil and greaseMust be able to work at heightsMust be on their feet all day; standing, stooping, squatting, and reaching can be expected along with lifting of up to 50 lbs. of machinery and partsSkills And Abilities:Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skillsExperience with preventative maintenance and machine overhaulsAbility to work independently and mentor othersProficient in using hand tools and basic computer systemsKnowledge of safety standards and proper use of PPEPhysically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in demanding environmentsEffective verbal and written communication in EnglishQuality Standards:Must maintain a clean and safe work area. Must comply with plant GMPs and quality rules.Safety:Maintain proper safety standards according to established OSHA and Double H policies. Must properly use all safety equipment (i.e., proper use of personal protective gear including gloves and safety glasses).
