Upstream Marketing Manager, Spine Robotics

Johnson & Johnson seeks an Upstream Marketing Manager for Spine Robotics to lead strategic marketing and innovation strategy for robotic-assisted spine surgery systems. The role involves cross-functional collaboration to develop product roadmaps, drive surgeon engagement, and shape the long-term portfolio for the VELYS Active Robotic-Assisted System.
Responsibilities
- Serve as strategic commercial leader and subject matter expert in spine surgery innovation strategy
- Lead upstream marketing activities supporting new product development and customer insight integration
- Drive surgeon engagement through advisory boards, voice of customer programs, and concept testing
- Translate customer needs and market trends into product requirements and strategic opportunities
- Monitor competitive activity and emerging technologies to inform portfolio prioritization and decisions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; postgraduate qualification in related field preferred
- 5+ years experience in marketing, product management, strategy, innovation, or related discipline
- Experience with medical devices, orthopaedic spine, surgical technologies, robotics, or digital surgery
- Proven track record developing product strategies, innovation roadmaps, and business cases
- Ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders in matrix organization
- Strong strategic, analytical, and commercial acumen with high autonomy
- Ability to work in cadaver lab and operating room environments
