Qualifications Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, related area, or equivalent experience.- 4 years of customer product design experience or- 3 years of experience with complex design projects.- 2 years in bringing electronic products to mass production.- Experience with Siemens NX/Teamcenter. Preferred: Master’s or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.- 12 months of technical leadership mentoring junior design staff.- Experience designing plastic parts, metallic components, and FPC/PCBs for mass manufacture.- Experience integrating digicam and display modules into products.- Experience with thermal and structural simulations using ANSYS.- Ability to produce detailed design illustrations and highlight risks to cross‑functional teams. Responsibilities Drive designs from concept to mass production, ensuring performance, reliability, manufacturability, serviceability, and aesthetics. Create and maintain 3D CAD models and 2‑D drawings including GD&T, material selection, and manufacturing strategies. Collaborate with global manufacturing partners to advance design through production. Engage with suppliers and lead manufacturing teams to achieve early‑stage product improvements. Build and troubleshoot prototypes, analyze reliability test results, iterate design improvements, and transition products to mass production.
