Senior Credit Analyst

Senior Credit Analyst – Responsibilities Provide an independent analysis of credit quality for loan relationships of all levels of complexity, determining borrowers’ financial condition and ability to repay. Review credit facility requests for compliance with structural, corporate policies and procedures, and government regulations. Prepare accurate credit approval documents that outline the material strengths and weaknesses of proposed transactions. Recommend appropriate risk ratings for borrowers or specific loans, influencing the ALLL provision and bank earnings. Support credit and lending staff by conducting complex analyses requested above average in complexity. Perform annual credit reviews and track client operating/financial performance post‑origination, including covenant monitoring and borrowing base compliance. Maintain front‑end support of loan request packages, ensuring all pertinent financial information is in the credit file. Prepare reports for department managers, loan officers, and senior management. Assist bank examiners and audit personnel by providing relevant information. Lead underwriting objectives by providing guidance and training to other analysts on the team. Take on special projects beyond routine duties. Supervisory Responsibilities Supervise subordinate staff within the department. Evaluate performance, develop abilities, and improve output of junior analysts. Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related business field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of two years in commercial credit analysis, having worked as a Credit Risk Analyst II or similar. Sound financial and risk analysis skills to evaluate complex credit data and financial statements. Extensive knowledge of banking products and services. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel). Understanding of nCino and ability to manage credits assigned to analysts in the system. Knowledge of corporate business structures, legal documents, U.S. government regulations, and banking operations.
