What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting relevant details to site leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and communicate with staff regarding security-related concerns, deliveries, and/or restricted areas.
• Assist with de-escalation, directions, and general support for people on site while maintaining awareness of healthcare operations, privacy expectations, and emergency procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• Be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
