Urgent Hiring: Helpers for In-Home Support - Charlottesville, VA

Location: Charlottesville, VA, 22901 Start Date: ASAP Helper Rate: $25 per hour

We are seeking a skilled and attentive helper to support a male client recovering from surgery who has a tracheostomy. He is physically small, uses a walker, and enjoys short walks. The family is looking for daily support to complement home health visits.

Care Responsibilities

• Provide tracheostomy care support (including suctioning as needed)
• Assist with basic wound care and monitoring
• Support mobility and walking (walker assistance)
• Perform light housekeeping
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized home environment
• Offer general support and companionship

Schedule

• Daily care preferred (exact schedule TBD)
• Home health services currently 2x per week
• Additional consistent daily support needed

Ideal Candidate

• Experience with tracheostomy care and suctioning REQUIRED
• Comfortable with post-surgical care and monitoring
• Patient, attentive, and detail-oriented
• Able to assist with light mobility support
• Reliable and consistent

This role is best suited for a helper with hands-on medical support experience, who can confidently assist with trach care while also providing day-to-day household and emotional support.
