Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Seattle, Washington. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/21/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) Location: unspecified. This role involves providing specialized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients in a cardiac telemetry setting. The position requires expertise in managing patients post-open-heart surgery, vascular procedures, and stroke with cardiac involvement, among other cardiac and vascular conditions. Job Details Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: 2 years of experience in surgical telemetry, open-heart surgery, and vascular care, with certification in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS. Epic experience is a hardstop requirement. Valid compact license in hand at submission. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with VAD, TAVR, chest tubes, sternal precautions, blood product administration, and management of dysrhythmias. Responsibilities: Managing patients with myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, pre/post surgical and cath lab patients, stroke patients with cardiac involvement, structural heart support devices, chest tubes, and sternal precautions. Performing procedures such as breathing treatments, chest tube care, cardioversion, defibrillation, LVAD management, and blood product administration. Monitoring and managing cardiac drips and pacemaker devices. Additional Information: Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience, be flexible to float between units, and work scheduled holidays. Requirements include submitting two references covering one year within the last three years, and visa compliance with a valid state license (compact license).
