Candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and secure cloud architectures. This role requires a deep understanding of Google Cloud services and best practices, as well as strong communication and problem-solving skills.Additional Information\\*The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $215k - $240k/year & benefits (see below).**The Role****Responsibilities:*** Architectural Design: Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions using Google Cloud services (e.g., Compute Engine, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Cloud Functions, API Gateway).* Client Consultation: Engage with clients to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, recommend best practices for cloud adoption and migration.* Sales Support: Collaborate with business development teams to build client proposals and to respond to formal bids.* Technical Leadership: Lead architectural reviews and provide technical direction to development teams, ensuring alignment with established Google Cloud standards and practices.* Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, deployment plans, and operational procedures.* Performance Optimization: Evaluate existing cloud infrastructures and identify opportunities for optimization, cost reduction, and performance enhancement.* Availability and Reliability: Design and implement strategies to ensure high availability and reliability of cloud solutions, including failover mechanisms, disaster recovery, and redundancy planning.* Security Compliance: Ensure that cloud solutions adhere to industry security standards and compliance requirements, implementing necessary controls and monitoring.* Automation: Extoll the virtues of an “automate everything” mentality to help our clients extract maximum value from their Cloud investments.* Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, DevOps, development, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of solutions.* Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest Google Cloud developments, tools, and methodologies to continuously improve cloud architecture practices.**Requirements:*** Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.* 10+ years of overall professional experience* 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and solution design, with a focus on Google Cloud.* Strong understanding of Google Cloud services and modern architecture best-practice (e.g. event-based, serverless).* Demonstrable experience designing and building foundational Landing Zone services and integrations* Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).* Proficient in scripting and infrastructure automation (e.g., Terraform, Python, Infrastructure Manager).* Familiarity with use of CI/CD pipelines and a strong proponent of DevOps practices.* Strong understanding of adjacent core technologies including Networking and Identity & Access Management* Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) practices* Excellent communication skills with the ability to document and present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.* Ability to break down requirements into actionable tasks and communicate these to stakeholders.* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.* A proactive and adaptable mindset suited to a dynamic support environment* Experience with other Cloud Service Providers (AWS, Azure, OCI) is highly advantageous.* Experience in financial services (banking/vendor/consulting) or other highly regulated industry is highly desirable.* Google Cloud Certified – Professional Cloud Architect* Google Cloud Certified – Professional Cloud Data Engineer**We offer:*** A highly competitive compensation and benefits package.* A multinational organization with 58 offices in 22 countries and the possibility to work abroad.* 10 days of paid annual leave (plus sick leave and national holidays).* Maternity & paternity leave plans.* A comprehensive insurance plan including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and long-/short-term disability (plans vary by region).* Retirement savings plans.* A higher education certification policy.* Commuter benefits (varies by region).* Extensive training opportunities, focused on skills, substantive knowledge, and personal development.* On-demand Udemy for Business for all Synechron employees with free access to more than 5000 curated courses.* Coaching opportunities with experienced colleagues from our Financial Innovation Labs (FinLabs) and Center of Excellences (CoE) groups.* Cutting edge projects at the world’s leading tier-one banks, financial institutions and insurance firms.* A flat and approachable organization.* A truly diverse, fun-loving, and global work culture. #J-18808-Ljbffr
