General HelperInitial Job: General HelperOnce Qualified: Machine Operator, Palletizer/Unitizer Operator, Shipper Loader, Biller/Receiver, Stacker, UtilityPay Rate: $25.01/hr during probationary period, then $26.14/hr up to $31.19/hr once qualified in positionCategory/Shift: Hourly Full-Time (Monday-Friday)Training on 1st Shift (7:00am-3:00pm)Hiring Shifts:2nd Shift (3:00pm-11:00pm)3rd Shift (11:00pm- 7:00am)Physical Location: Atglen Container4581 Lower Valley RoadAtglen PA 19310The Job You Will PerformSafely run machines and follow all safety rules and practices at all times;Count and stack finished product;Learn customer requirements and specifications by reading factory work orders, print cards, and design specifications;Utilize basic shop math;Accurately read tape measures, gauges and other test equipment;Coordinate activities with other machine crew members to efficiently set up and run orders;Operate lift trucks in a safe and effective mannerEnsure correct product is sent through appropriate production lineEnsure correct strapping patterns for product, and that loads are strapped with proper dunnage according to instructions and customer-specific requestsMonitor loads and notify supervisor regarding any product issuesMonitor take-off line following strapping process, and load material onto designated trucks, requiring accurate record of load talliesTransporting product to the appropriate areas of the warehouse as neededLoad warehoused product from the warehouse to the loading dock, as well as receive product from incoming trucks, sign for the receipt of it, and transport to designated departmentTurn in proper paperwork to the shipping officeRotate as needed between strapper position, take-off line lift truck and floor driver lift truck operation proceduresSweep trailers and floor areasComplete a daily safety check list, change propane tanks, and check the fluids and air filters on their lift truckMaintain quality and production standards as required by the company;Continually monitor the quality and quantity of production;Maintain housekeeping continually during the assigned shift;Perform quality inspections and tests, and record findings; andPerform other duties as assigned by supervision.The Skills You Will Bring1 year of hands-on Industrial Plant manufacturing experienceCorrugated industry experience preferredSit down Forklift/pull pack experience preferredThe ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervisionThe ability to accurately read a tape measurer and rulerThe ability to use basic shop mathThe ability to learn; and the ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a member of a team.The Benefits You Will EnjoyInternational Paper offers a benefits package that includes health, welfare and retirement plans including Medical, Dental, Life insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts, Short-term Disability, 401(k) and/or Pension (where applicable), Paid Time Off, Education & Development (including Tuition Reimbursement), and Voluntary Benefits including insurance for home, auto, vision and pets.The Career You Will BuildLeadership training, promotional opportunitiesThe Impact You Will MakeWe continue to build a better future for people, the planet, and our company!
