Coffee Haven's barista teamwork directly with our customers and managers to ensure the best customer service experience alongside the most delicious food and drinks. Their responsibilities includetaking orders, preparing bagels, sandwiches, and salads, helping on cash registers, coffee station, inventory, and more. We love to hire ambitious people who are new to cafe work just as much as we love to hire experienced folks. For this role are looking for someone with 1-2 years of retail/hospitality experience. This is a key position for us and we'd love to meet you see if it would be a fit! Barista Compensation and Benefits: * Competitive Pay * Flexible Working Hours * Tip Pooling * Employee Discount * Free gym membership * Compensation: $17-$20 Barista Responsibilities: * Take customer orders, prepare bagels, sandwiches, salads, etc. * Step in to help in any of the service areas as needed * Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change (if applicable). * Present food/drink options, make recommendations and answer questions regarding our products. * Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the cafe * Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues to General Manager. * Assist the restocking and replenishment of inventory and supplies. * Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the General Manager or immediate supervisor. Barista Qualifications: * Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests. * Have working knowledge of cafe/restaurant operations. * Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a cash register. * Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time * Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
