Fleet Mechanic

Job SummaryShambaugh & Son L.P. is looking for a Mechanic. In this role you will be responsible for the repairs on all Shambaugh & Son cars, trucks and equipment. They will do this by maintaining a clean and orderly environment while exercising all safety rules at all times.#shambaughEssential Duties & ResponsibilitiesRunning diagnostic tests on vehicles.Analyzing diagnostic test results.Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems.Checking vehicle lighting systems.Test driving vehicles to gauge performance.Performing preventative maintenance on service trucks.Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles.Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist.Maintaining a parts inventory.Ensuring the cleanliness of the shop.Report to garage manager when not knowledgeable of certain problems.Coordinate and work in harmony with all Shambaugh & Son personnel.Prompt and accurate completion of work orders in a legible manner.Check all vehicles and equipment in yard for past due service.Other duties as assignedQualifications2-3 years of experience as an automotive technician.Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification is a plus.Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.Valid driver's license is required.Works well independently and with others.Good communication skills.Organized with attention to detail.Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.Equal Opportunity EmployerAs a leading provider of mechanical and electrical construction, facilities services, and energy infrastructure, we offer employees a competitive salary and benefits package and we are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
