Job Description

The Emergency Room (ER) Nurse plays a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients in urgent medical situations. This position is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and implementing nursing care for patients in the emergency department. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive timely and appropriate care.

Shift Information

• Shift: Nights (7 PM - 7 AM)
• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Schedule: Every other weekend (EOW)

Unit Information

This position is within the Emergency Room (ER) unit, dedicated to providing immediate care to patients with various medical emergencies. The ER team is a dynamic group focused on rapid assessment and intervention.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a nursing role, preferably in an emergency setting.
• Required Certifications:
  
  
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the ER.
• Conduct thorough assessments and develop care plans.
• Collaborate with medical staff to deliver efficient and effective treatment.
• Monitor and document patient progress and respond to changes in condition.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and hospital policies.
