Every other weekend rotation OR every 4th weekend rotation.

Licensure or Certifications

• MA: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within45 daysunless department leader has determined it is notrequired.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state in which the team member practices

Degrees:

• GED or HS Equivalency Diploma.

• MA: Completion of an accredited or approved program in Medical Assistant or 2 years of verifiable full-time experience as a Medical Assistant within the last 5 years.
• LPN: Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Practical Nursing

As a MedicalAssistant/LPN youllplay a vital roleinthe care team supporting providers connecting with patients and helping ensure a seamless compassionate experience every day.

As a key member of the ambulatory care team you will:

• Welcome patients and support their transition into care.

• Take and record vital signs medical histories and health screenings.

• Prepare patients for exams andassistproviders during procedures.

• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.

• Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.

• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.

• Partner with physicians nurses and teammates to deliver high-quality coordinated care.

Pay Structure: For Medical Assistants the pay starts between $22-23/hr. For LPN the pay starts between $24.50-25.50/hr. Pay is determined by experience and qualifications of the position. Leaders may be willing to offer more with prior direct experience in the role.

About This Location: The Aurora Urgent Care - Franklin located at 9200 W. Loomis Rd. Suite 212 Franklin WI 53132 is a walk-in clinic that provides convenient care for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries requiring same-day attention. The clinic treats conditions such as colds flu sore throats minor injuries sprains cuts infections and other urgent medical concerns when a primary care appointment is not readily available. The location offers extended evening and weekend hours making it a convenient option for patients seeking care outside of traditional office hours

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Must be able to sit stand walk lift squat bend reach above shoulders and twistfrequentlythroughout the workday.

• Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients medical equipment and supplies.

• Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.

• Must have functional speech vision hearing and touch withabilityto use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions.

• Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines.

• Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation if needed.

• May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore protective clothing and equipment must bewornas necessary.

• Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.

• Physical Abilities Testing may berequired.

• Additionaldepartment specific physical requirements may beidentifiedfor unique responsibilities within the department by the nurse leader.
