Position Overview: As a key member of the leadership team, the General Counsel at Zenoti will lead the company's Legal department, supporting revenue growth and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements while providing strategic legal guidance to the executive team. The role will also ensure that legal practices effectively support a globally distributed workforce and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contract Negotiation and Legal Operations:

• Review, draft, structure, and negotiate all aspects of SaaS contracts (customer and vendor agreements), including but not limited to BAA, DPA, Information Security Addendums, renewals, and strategic partnerships.
• Establish efficient processes for legal operations, including contract management and approvals.

• Legal Strategy & Compliance:
• Develop and implement legal strategies to support Zenoti's business objectives and mitigate risks.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards across all geographies where Zenoti operates.
• Risk Management:
• Identify and address potential legal risks, including data privacy, regulatory compliance, and intellectual property.
• Ensure full compliance with global data privacy and security laws, including HIPAA, GDPR, and CPRA.
• Align legal processes to effectively support global teams and operations.
• Department Leadership:
• Lead a high-performing Legal team, ensuring alignment with Zenoti's key objections in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on legal and compliance matters.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; active bar membership in state of residence is required.
• Required: 12+ years of legal experience supporting a SaaS organization and its executive team
• Strong expertise in complex commercial and vendor contracts and data privacy/security compliance (preferred experience with HIPAA and GDPR).
• Demonstrated experience in labor & employment and IP portfolio management, including management of outside counsel.
• Demonstrated success developing, leading, and mentoring a Legal team and managing a department budget.
• Excellent business acumen, problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Experience managing legal operations across multiple geographies is required

Zenoti Pay Range

$250,000—$300,000 USD
