CLUB DIRECTOR

FUNCTION:The Club Director provides leadership, management, and oversight for all club operations. This position ensures a safe, positive, and engaging environment for youth while achieving organizational goals related to program quality, membership growth, staff development, and community engagement.RESPONSIBILITIES:Operations ManagementProvide overall leadership and management of club operationsEnsure daily club operations run efficiently and effectivelyMonitor club enrollment, attendance, and membership goalsManage club budget, purchasing, and resource allocationEnsure compliance with BGCGH policies and proceduresSafety & Risk ManagementLead all physical and emotional safety initiativesConduct safety walkthroughs and CARE ChecksEnsure emergency preparedness plans are implementedManage incident reporting and follow-up investigationsMaintain compliance with BGCA and organizational safety standardsHuman Resources & Staff ManagementSupervise and evaluate all club staffLead staff meetings and professional developmentAssist with recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and retentionManage staff schedules and performance expectationsAddress employee relations concerns and corrective actionsCommunity EngagementRepresent BGCGH within the school and communityBuild relationships with school administrators and key stakeholdersSupport volunteer engagement effortsParticipate in community events and organizational initiativesClub Performance & AccountabilityMonitor key performance indicators (Membership, ADP, Capacity, Retention)Ensure quality program implementationDevelop improvement plans when necessaryMaintain overall club culture and staff moraleMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Recreation, Youth Development, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.5 years of experience in youth development, education, recreation, or nonprofit management.Supervisory and leadership experience.Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work with diverse populations and build positive relationships.CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).Must have a valid Texas driver’s license (CDL may be required based on vehicle standards), and be insurable.SKILLS AND COMPETENCIESLeadership and team managementProgram planning and evaluationBudget and resource managementConflict resolutionCommunity engagementChild safety and risk managementCommunication and public speakingPERFORMANCE INDICATORSMembership growth and retentionProgram participation and qualityStaff performance and retentionSafety complianceParent and community satisfactionAchievement of organizational goalsRELATIONSHIPS:Internal: Maintains close daily contact with Club professional staff to interpret and explain organizational mission, program objectives and standards, discuss issues, and provide/receive information. Maintains close contact with Director of Operations and/or Manager of Operations. Has regular contact with members as needed to discipline, advise and counsel.External: Maintains contact with external community groups, schools, members’ parents and others to assist in resolving problems and to publicize the Club.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
