The Role:
Location: Richlands - Bluefield, VA 24641
Assignment duration: ASAP - Ongoing
Coverage Type: Clinic + Call
Procedures and clinic schedule; endoscopy suite coverage Monday, Wednesday, half Thursdays and Friday; clinic on Tuesdays and half Thursdays. Hours may vary.
Night call every night and round on any patient consults in the hospital
Patient encounters per shift: 20-25.
Cases: Endoscopy and clinic coverage. Required procedures include upper GI endoscopy (with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, injection of varices), PEG placement, esophageal dilatation, small bowel biopsy, lower GI endoscopy, flexible (required) and rigid (preferred) sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy (with biopsy and polypectomy).
ERCP and EUS not required.
Support Staff: 2 RNs, 1 PA/NP, 1 MA, 1 Office Staff
EMR: Athena & Meditech
Requirements: VA License
Credentialing Timeframe: 30 days
