Occupational Therapist

Job Summary:

The Occupational Therapist provides medically prescribed therapy to patients aimed at improving their ability to perform daily activities and enhancing their quality of life. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver effective therapeutic interventions. The therapist works with individuals to promote independence and functional skills in a clinical or hospital setting. Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' functional abilities and needs related to daily living activities.
• Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve patients' motor skills, coordination, and cognitive functions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
• Document patient progress and update treatment plans accordingly.
• Educate patients and families on therapy goals and home exercise programs.
• Maintain therapy equipment and ensure a safe treatment environment.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current and active Occupational Therapist license in the state of practice.
• Basic knowledge of therapeutic techniques and patient assessment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a healthcare team environment.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting.
• Knowledge of specialized therapy techniques for various patient populations.
• Certification in additional therapy modalities or continuing education credits.

Scheduling:
