Option 1, 2, 3)Hours per Week : 32.5 hpwWorking Pattern : Monday to FridayGrade/Scale : Sixth Form Study Supervisor | NJC pts 5 - 8 | £13.6288 - £14.2897 per hourAdditional Allowance(s) : Not ApplicableAnticipated Interview Date(s) : August 2026Additional Information: N/AJOB DESCRIPTIONJOB TITLE: Sixth Form Study SupervisorREPORTS TO: The School Principal/Designated Line ManagerJOB PURPOSETo supervise the sixth form area and ensure conditions are conductive to study.Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesPupil Supervision.Supervise senior pupils during their study periods and examinations as required and maintain a quiet academic environment in the school study/library.Maintain and advise on mechanisms to improve the study environment for the pupils.Communicate with appropriate teaching staff regarding behaviour of pupils.Inform appropriate teaching staff of absenteeism of pupils from study periods without permission.Ensure pupils maintain a tidy work environment and report any damage.AdministrationOperate manual and/or computerised information systems in connection with pupils.Complete and submit all returns/records as required.Maintain stock of reference books in sixth form studies.Assist in school administration, as required.Other DutiesParticipate in any relevant training as required.Implement all school policies and procedures.Such other duties as may be assigned within the level of the post.FLEXIBLE WORKING OPTIONS AVAILABLEOPTION 1You are required to be on duty during school term plus two additional weeks. The timing of the two additional weeks is at the discretion of the Principal of the school.OROPTION 2You are required to be on duty for the contracted weekly hours, working during periods of school closure except when on annual leave or other authorised absence. Duties will normally be provided by the school. However, where necessary, alternative work and/or training will be provided by the Authority at any other such place of employment as may be reasonably required.OROPTION 3To work as for option 2 with a further option to request periods of unpaid leave during extended school holidays or closures.This job description will be subject to review in light of changing circumstances and is not intended to be rigid and inflexible but should be regarded as providing guidelines within which the individual works.
