We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support a Department of the Navy (DoN) customer at Indian Head, MD. The Senior Software Engineer will serve as a team lead, overseeing software engineering efforts across multiple departments or locations. Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and modernization of enterprise software solutions, ensuring systems are scalable, secure, reliable, and aligned with organizational objectives. Provide technical leadership by establishing engineering standards, evaluating technologies, guiding architectural decisions, and promoting software development best practices. Develop and maintain high-quality software applications, performing technical reviews and ensuring adherence to coding, testing, and documentation requirements. Mentor and support engineering staff through technical guidance, knowledge transfer, and professional development activities that strengthen team performance and capability. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver software solutions, resolve complex technical challenges, optimize system performance, and support the successful execution of project goals. Requirements Active Secret Security Clearance Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline Minimum of 10 years of professional experience Must meet DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level III baseline certification requirements by possessing at least one approved certification (e.g., CASP+, CISSP or Associate, CCNP Security, CISA, CCSP, GCED, or GCIH). Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $140,000 to $200,000 (annually).
