Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Trauma ICU

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (6:30 PM – 6:30 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an 18-bed Trauma ICU setting, managing critically ill adult and pediatric patients (ages 15+) with diagnoses including trauma injuries, sepsis, stroke, ARDS, MODS, COPD, and cardiac arrest
• Titrate drips including vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics per unit protocols
• Manage and monitor advanced hemodynamic lines and devices including arterial lines, CVPs, Swan-Ganz catheters, ICP monitoring, EV-1000, and rapid transfusion equipment
• Read and interpret cardiac monitoring independently using centralized telemetry monitoring system; no monitor techs on unit
• Operate and troubleshoot respiratory therapy equipment ranging from nasal cannula to mechanical ventilators
• Float to inpatient units as needed (excluding Maternity/NICU) and fulfill weekend shift requirements (4 shifts per 6-week scheduling period)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• Current NIHSS certification
• Prior travel nursing experience required (first-time travelers will not be considered)
• Ability to pass a unit-specific open-book skills examination with a minimum score of 90% during orientation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with IABP, Impella, or other advanced cardiac support devices
• Background in high-acuity trauma or Level I trauma center environments
• Strong critical thinking skills with a positive, team-oriented attitude
