Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides specialized cardiovascular operative nursing care in the CVOR unit, supporting cardiac surgeries and other cardiovascular procedures. Ensures patient safety, quality care, and compliance with clinical standards throughout each shift.

Responsibilities:

• Administer perioperative nursing care to cardiovascular patients before, during, and after surgery.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to facilitate smooth operative procedures and patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient vital signs, manage IV lines, and respond promptly to intraoperative changes.
• Maintain sterile field and ensure adherence to infection control protocols.
• Document patient care accurately and report relevant information to the healthcare team.
• Assist with emergency procedures and ensure readiness of all necessary equipment.

Qualifications:

• Active RNC license and certification from the American Heart Association (ACLS, BLS).
• Minimum of 2 years of recent CVOR or cardiovascular surgical experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required clinical credentials for the duration of the assignment.
• Strong understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, surgical procedures, and instrumentation.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
