We are looking for a COBOL Developer with experience in building high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications. The individual will be part of a talented software team that works on mission-critical applications using Agile methodologies. Responsibilities:

• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Develop and/or modify COBOL programs while providing expertise from concept and design to testing.
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code.
• Ensure designs are following specifications and best practices.
• Prepare and produce releases of software components.
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.

Expectations:

• Prior experience with Unemployment Insurance Benefits systems
• Proven working experience in COBOL development and MVS JCL
• Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL
• Experience in developing and consuming SOAP web services utilizing CICS Web Services and XML.
• Experience in working in teams using Agile methodologies
