Operations Manager

Are you a proven operations leader with a background in food manufacturing? We are seeking an energetic Assistant General Manager to oversee daily production, inventory, maintenance, and logistics at our dynamic facility. You will directly lead Production Managers and the Maintenance Manager to keep our high-volume bakery operations running smoothly, efficiently, and safely. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership: Provide direction to production and maintenance teams while overseeing purchasing, inventory, warehouse, and shipping. Monitor KPIs, eliminate bottlenecks, and report progress to Senior Management. Production & Scheduling: Ensure all fresh and frozen orders ship complete, on time, and to quality standards. Adjust production schedules, optimize labor allocation, and resolve order discrepancies quickly. Maintenance & Facilities: Partner with the Maintenance Manager to coordinate preventive maintenance and urgent repairs, maximizing equipment uptime and workplace safety. Team Development: Mentor, evaluate, and train staff. Drive a positive, accountable, and safety-focused culture. Quality & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to SQF, HACCP, GMP, and company safety protocols. Qualifications 5–10 years of leadership experience in a food production environment. Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Strong expertise in production scheduling, labor cost control, and cross-functional leadership. Solid knowledge of food safety regulations (SQF, HACCP, GMP). Bilingual ability is a strong plus. Ability to stand for extended periods, work in varying temperatures (cold/hot), and lift up to 50 lbs. People Management: Lead, mentor, evaluate, and coach staff. Support training initiatives, review labor allocations, and foster a safe, positive work culture. Compliance & Quality: Enforce adherence to company policies and food safety, sanitation, and workplace standards (SQF, HACCP, GMP).
