Our high-volume CDC will be the backbone of product movement within our 15-branch network, consolidating inventory replenishment, accelerating product flow, and driving operational efficiency. The top priority will be to ensure product moves accurately and efficiently out to and between the branches. The CDC will support high throughput, consistent product availability and reliable delivery, thereby reducing friction in the supply chain, and allowing our branches to provide outstanding customer service.

The CDC will operate from 6a to 9p six days a week. We are building a team of 15+ employees where everyone connects with the top priority of serving our branches, and commits to understanding and meeting the Key Performance Indicators, following detailed processes, and contributing to a high performing, safety-conscious environment.

The possible shifts for this position are 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM or 12:00 PM - 9:00 PM.

Position Summary

As a Central Distribution Center (CDC) Order Selector at VP Supply Corp , you will play a vital role in our supply chain operations by accurately selecting and preparing customer and interbranch orders for shipment. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment. We are looking for a self-learner with initiative and strong problem-solving skills who is looking to grow as our CDC expands. Performance in this role is evaluated using key warehouse KPIs, including total lines picked per hour and per day, scan compliance, and order accuracy; helping ensure efficient operations and dependable service to our branches.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately pick and pack orders using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS)
• Read and interpret hand scanning devices, tablets, pick lists, order sheets and product codes, among other operational data
• Stage and organize selected items for shipment
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and reach trucks (training provided, but prior training is preferred)
• Ensure order accuracy and inspect items for damage or discrepancies
• Assist in inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock replenishment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all company policies, safety guidelines, and standard operating procedures
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational goals

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• 2-5 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution environment required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the required shift
• Basic math and reading comprehension skills required; Bill of Lading, Purchase Order processing and Sales Order reading and competency preferred
• Computer Skills required
• Customer Service skills preferred
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Strong, fast-paced work ethic and reliability
• Forklift and pallet jack and other Warehouse equipment training required. Prior history of certification preferred
• Familiarity with RF scanning equipment is a plus
