LVN Position AvailableStar Nursing has urgent per diem needs for LVNs in San Diego, CA. Start date is ASAP with an assignment through the end of the year. Shift schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Openings: 1 LVN Contract Length: Full Time / Per Diem Specialty: Clinic Pay Rate (No Housing): $45/hr.Benefits:Dedicated recruitment team to assist throughout your placementWeekly pay and flexible scheduling optionsAccess to a network of healthcare facilities nationwideHotel discounts and referral programsContinuing education resourcesHealthcues membership for additional wellness support (this does not replace existing medical plans)Duties and Responsibilities:Obtain and accurately document employees’ vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respirations, height, and weightAdminister vaccinations and immunizations according to provider orders, standing protocols, facility policies, and the LVN scope of practiceReview immunization histories and assist with identifying outstanding employee health requirementsPerform PPD or tuberculin skin testing, including placement, documentation, and reading within the required timeframeEducate employees regarding PPD follow-up instructions and the importance of returning within the appropriate reading periodPerform vision screenings using department-approved equipment and proceduresConduct respiratory mask fit testing after completing facility-provided trainingEducate employees on the proper use, placement, removal, and seal checking of respiratory protection equipmentAssist with employee health clearance activities, pre-employment screenings, annual health requirements, and exposure-related follow-upReview health questionnaires, screening forms, immunization records, and other occupational health documentationIdentify abnormal findings and promptly report or escalate concerns to the supervising RN, provider, or Employee Health teamPrepare vaccines, supplies, testing materials, examination areas, and equipment before scheduled employee appointmentsMonitor employees for potential reactions following vaccination and respond according to established protocolsMaintain accurate documentation of vaccinations, PPD testing, vision screenings, mask fit testing, and other services in the electronic medical recordProvide employees with Vaccine Information Statements and other approved educational materialsFollow vaccine storage, handling, preparation, administration, and documentation requirementsMaintain infection-control practices, standard precautions, and employee-safety protocolsEnsure examination rooms and clinical work areas remain clean, organized, properly stocked, and ready for useProtect employee health information and maintain confidentiality according to applicable privacy requirementsCoordinate with Employee Health staff, providers, managers, and other departments regarding employee clearance requirementsAssist with scheduling, follow-up communication, record completion, and other clinic workflow responsibilitiesTravel to or work at the San Marcos location when required by the assignmentPerform other Employee Health LVN duties as assignedRequired Experience:Ambulatory care or outpatient clinic experienceEpic EMR experienceExperience managing telephone or electronic patient messages is highly preferredAbility to manage multiple patient messages and clinical priorities efficientlyExperience communicating with providers and escalating clinical concerns appropriatelyStrong clinical documentation, telephone communication, and organizational skillsFamiliarity with Epic SmartPhrases, inbox workflows, or similar message-management tools is preferredResume Guidelines — Required:Resume must be current and fully updatedAll employment gaps must be explained on the resumeResume must include at least seven years of work history, or the candidate’s complete work history if it is less than seven yearsEach position must include the job title, specialty or department, facility name, city and state, and month and year of employmentEach position must state whether the candidate worked full-time or part-time and include the approximate hours workedAmbulatory care, outpatient clinic, telephone messaging, inbox management, and Epic experience must be clearly documentedEpic or other EMR systems used must be identifiedResume must include the month and year of nursing-school graduationCopies of any certifications listed on the resume must be available upon request
