Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active Special Education Teacher certification for Texas
• One of the following endorsements (aligned with grade level): Self Contained, Core Subjects, or Generalist
• Experience teaching or supporting students in life skills or functional academics environments
• Familiarity with FASE (Functional Academics/Skills Education) classroom settings is a plus
• Passion for student-centered instruction and differentiated teaching strategies
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s specific needs
• Employ adaptive instructional techniques and materials to facilitate academic, social, and life skills development
• Assess progress, document observations, and collaborate with educators and families to ensure consistent support
• Actively participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and provide input regarding student progress and intervention plans
• Support students with a range of abilities, ensuring a safe, respectful, and motivating classroom experience
• Maintain compliance with all district and state standards and reporting requirements

Contract Details & Perks:

• Full-time hours (37.5 per week), working onsite
• Immediate start through 12/18
