Veterinary Urgent Care Center (VUCC) is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our growing team. What You'll Do Obtain patient histories and perform triage assessments Place IV catheters and perform venipuncture Administer medications and injections Collect diagnostic samples and perform in-house laboratory testing Perform ultrasound-guided cystocentesis Monitor hospitalized and surgical patients Assist with same-day surgical procedures Communicate with clients regarding patient care and treatment plans Collaborate closely with veterinarians to provide exceptional urgent care medicine Required Skills Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) IV catheter placement Venipuncture and sample collection Patient history collection Administering injections Recording accurate vital signs Ultrasound-guided cystocentesis Excellent communication and teamwork Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Our Hospital Three-doctor urgent care practice Walk-in and scheduled appointments IDEXX Neo practice management software Clockwise online scheduling IDEXX in-house laboratory Digital radiography Ultrasound Dentistry Same-day surgery Supportive, collaborative team Schedule We believe in creating schedules that support work-life balance. Your Impact as an Urgent Care Credentialed Veterinary Technician Note: The Credentailed Veterinary Technician title is used in various states based on state-specific licensing and credentialing requirements. Responsibilities may vary depending on the hospital and/or state and will be outlined by the state’s Veterinary Practice Act and/or the responsible veterinarian, where applicable. Be a Lifeline for Patients in Crisis: You'll be on the front lines, utilizing your full skillset in triage, stabilization, patient monitoring, and critical care under veterinarian supervision. Provide Clarity in Critical Moments: You'll be a vital and calming link for pet owners, clearly explaining treatments, reviewing discharge instructions, and providing reassurance during stressful times. Lead and Elevate Your Team: In a fast-paced setting, you'll guide and support your colleagues, ensuring a smooth workflow and fostering a focused, collaborative atmosphere. Ensure Seamless Care: Your clear and accurate record-keeping in a fast-paced environment will be crucial for patient handoffs, case management, and effective team communication. What You'll Bring to the Team A calm, efficient, and decisive approach, especially during medical emergencies. Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program and a current state license in good standing. Proficiency in a range of technical skills, with a strong aptitude for emergency procedures, anesthesia monitoring, and critical care nursing. Confidence in handling animals of all temperaments and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and a passion for working collaboratively under pressure.
