And we're reimagining how space can connect us, ensuring security and prosperity.We want you to support the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Program by joining the Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) team as a Project Engineer. The SEIT Requirements and Verification team handles all System level requirements for the Trident II ballistic missile (commonly known as the D5LE and D5LE2 missile), oversees interface definitions, plans and executes verification processes, and has fingers in every development project under the FBM Program.We have a Weapon System level view of the FBM Program with activities related to integrating the FBM Life Extension 2 (LE2) missile into the submarine weapon system, as well as supporting efforts to integrate missile subsystems into the flight vehicle design. As a Project Engineer you will be responsible for the following:Coordinating and planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility.Planning and formulating engineering programs; reviewing product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.Evaluating and approving design changes, specification and drawing releases.Coordinating activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.Basic Qualifications:Experience coordinating across functional and programmatic boundariesExperience working with a variety engineering disciplinesPosses a final Secret Security Clearance with the eligibility to obtain and maintain a DoD Final Top Secret Security Clearance - U.S. Citizenship is required.Desired Skills:Proposal ExperienceDevelopment of Key Performance Indicators, metric management, data dashboards using Tableau or similarExperience with working with an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), and creating/executing IMS tasks.Familiarity with all phases of the development life cycle for missile and/or launch vehicle programs and supporting production of missile, launch vehicle, spacecraft, or aircraft hardwareExperience collaborating with internal and external customers and executive leadershipBasic understanding of systems thinking techniquesProgram/Project Management experience with the ability to articulate sophisticated technical and programmatic issues to subordinates, peers, leadership, and customersExperience in Cost Account Management (CAM)Active or Current Top Secret clearanceSecurity Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday offPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
