Principal Electrical & Controls Engineer

TRC Talent Solutions is partnering with a global Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) manufacturing leader to hire a Principal Electrical & Controls Engineer . This role will serve as a senior technical leader responsible for automation, controls, and electrical power distribution projects across multiple manufacturing facilities.
Responsibilities
Design, program, and troubleshoot manufacturing control systems using Allen-Bradley and Rockwell automation platforms.
Lead electrical infrastructure and industrial power distribution initiatives.
Serve as the technical lead for automation and controls projects from concept through commissioning.
Support system integrations, upgrades, and plant modernization efforts.
Travel to manufacturing facilities to lead deployments, start-ups, and troubleshooting activities.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to improve system performance and reliability.
Provide technical expertise for controls architecture, automation strategy, and electrical systems.
Requirements
8+ years of hands-on experience in Electrical and Controls Engineering.
Strong programming and integration experience with Allen-Bradley and Rockwell systems.
Extensive knowledge of industrial electrical power distribution.
Experience leading automation, controls, and electrical infrastructure projects.
Ability to travel up to 50% as needed.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and project leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience within Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) manufacturing environments.
Background with a systems integrator supporting industrial automation projects.
Experience supporting large-scale manufacturing operations and capital projects.
Compensation
Base Salary: $130,000 - $145,000
10% Annual Bonus
