License: NC or Compact license pending is acceptable for submission

Certifications: ACLS, BLS

Must-Have: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab. Experience with procedures such as Cardiac Stent Placement, Diagnostic Catheterizations, IABP Placement/Removal, Interventional Catheterizations, Left heart catheterization, PCI, Pulmonary Artery Line monitoring, and Right heart catheterization. Proficient in administering and monitoring medications including antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, emergency medications, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation, and thrombolytics. Demonstrated skills in 12 Lead EKG, activated clotting time, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias. Experience in monitoring procedural sedation and adherence to infection prevention protocols.

Description: The Cath Lab Tech will work in both diagnostic and interventional cardiac settings. They will be responsible for assisting in various procedures, including cardiac stent placements and catheterizations. Candidates should be familiar with emergency protocols and the administration of IV therapies. The role includes responsibilities related to patient monitoring, procedural preparation, and postoperative care. Tasks will also involve effective collaboration with interdisciplinary support teams. The candidate will need to float as required and be available for occasional late shifts and call duties. No weekend requirement is expected for this position. The Cath Lab sees a diverse range of cardiovascular diagnoses, including coronary artery disease, heart failure, and valvular disease. Utilization of specialized equipment such as Impella and ultrasound during procedures will be integral to the role. Candidates should be prepared to uphold safety standards and protocols throughout patient care.
