Has working knowledge of DO-178B software development and test processes. Able to breakdown complex problems into simple solutions and has experience with accurately estimating project work. Communicates clearly and concisely with co-workers so assignments are understood. Periodically follows up to ensure assignments were understood. Has strong writing and documentation skills. Basic Qualifications Bachelors degree US Citizen or Permanent Resident required Additional Qualifications Electrical Engineering or Computer Science degree preferred Real time embedded software development experience Avionic flight controls experience Strong background in the use of computers (i.e. VAX, PC), and exposure to the use of: Matlab, Mode Logic Design, Assembly language programming, C/C++ programming, digital flight testing systems (i.e. DFTS), PVCS/Visual Source Safe (Configuration Management Systems), test interface hardware (i.e. EPIC TIU), scripted autotesting language/systems (i.e. EPIC TATs), requirements traceability, software structural coverage, and code instrumentation.
