About the Position

Job Title: MS/Tele Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical/Surgical /Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted License: Must have an active RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, CPI Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Patient ratio experience of 1:5 - Familiarity with the Epic charting system is preferred Description: The MS/Tele RN will work in a general medical surgical population. Common diagnoses include CHF, cellulitis, osteomyelitis, pancreatitis, and cancer. Nights are required, along with every other weekend and holiday shifts as scheduled. The RN will be responsible for managing patients with dysrhythmias and administering appropriate drips. Special procedures include EKGs and telemetry monitoring. Special equipment includes IV pumps, pulse oximeters, and telemetry monitoring tools. Floating within the specialty and lower acuity settings may be required as needed. Candidates should be comfortable with managing vasoactive drips and non-titratable medication within parameters. Candidates should be willing to participate in interdisciplinary support activities with various healthcare teams. Charting skills in managing electronic health records are beneficial for this position. This role is suited for individuals who can collaborate effectively within a medical-surgical environment.
